Amy Lysle Smart was born on March 26, 1976 (age 46 years) in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Topanga Canyon. Her mother, Judy Lysle Carrington, worked at a museum, and her father, John Boden Smart, was a salesman. She studied ballet for 10 years and graduated from Palisades Charter High School.
