Bryony Frost was born on April 13, 1995 (age 26 years) in Buckfastleigh, United Kingdom. She is the daughter of Jimmy Frost and Nikki Frost and her sibling is Hadden Frost.

She comes from a racing family, her grandfather was a trainer and her father, Jimmy Frost, was a jockey who rode the winner of the 1989 Grand National. Her brother is Hadden who won numerous races including the Pertemps Final at the Cheltenham Festival on Buena Vista in 2010.

Career

Bryony Frost won the Foxhunter Chase at the 2017 Cheltenham Festival as an amateur jockey, riding Pacha Du Polder. She turned professional later that year.

In December 2017, Frost rode Black Corton to win her first Grade One race at the Kauto Star Novices’ Chase on Boxing day and became the second British female to win a top-class race over obstacles.

In 2017 and 2018, she rode Present Man to win the Badger Beers Silver Trophy at Wincanton with support came from trainer Paul Nicholls. In January 2018, she rode Frodon to win the Crest Nicholson Handicap Chase Grade 3 race. Three months later in April, she rode Milansbar to fifth place in the Grand National. She became the fifth woman to record 75 wins under rules in November of that year and the second to ride out her claim by completing 75 wins while a conditional jockey.
