Sad news coming from Ivory Coast is that Ghanaian referee Charles Bulu was stretchered off after he collapsed while officiating the Ivory Coast-Ethiopia 2021 Africa Cup of Nations at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.

The Elephants were leading 3-1 and with 10 minutes of play left the centre referee collapsed. After more than 10 minutes of hold-up, the match was called off.

The visitors were also said not to be in favour of the Fourth Referee taking charge because he is Ivorian.

Even as CAF is yet to decide what will be the fate of this match, it should be noted that Ivory Coast has already qualified even without this game.
