Jamaican Dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta hospitalized at Kingston Public Hospital

The management of Tommy Lee Sparta issued a press statement after the incident.

Jamaican Dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta is hospitalized and recovering from treatment at the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) after he was badly injured in an exceedingly physical fight at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre in downtown Kingston, Jamaica on Monday February 21, 2022 during the first hours of the day.

The fight was between Tommy Lee SPARTA and a few of the correctional officers as reported by some eye witnesses.

Leroy Russell who is best known by the public as Tommy Lee Sparta was rush to the hospital in an ambulance by some of the medical officers at the jail center for treatment further treatment. He was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital.

The incident attracted a robust police presence there. it’s unclear what triggered the altercation between the correctional officers and therefore the musician.

In March last year, Tommy Lee Sparta was sentenced to a few years in prison for criminal possession of a firearm and two years for criminal possession of ammunition.

He pleaded guilty to both offences.

The Spartan Soldier hitmaker was arrested in December 2020 after he was found with the illegal firearm when he driving along the Holborn Road in New Kingston.
