Jason Momoa is an American actor, producer, and environmental activist. He made his acting debut as Jason Ioane on the syndicated action drama series Baywatch: Hawaii from 1999 to 2001, which was followed by him portraying Ronon Dex on the Syfy science fiction series Stargate Atlantis from 2005 to 2009, Khal Drogo in the first two seasons of the HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones from 2011 to 2012, Declan Harp on the Discovery Channel historical drama series Frontier from 2016 to 2018, and Baba Voss on the Apple TV+ science fiction series See (2019–present). Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa was born on August 1, 1979 (age 42 years) in Nānākuli, Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. His parents are Coni Lemke Momoa, a photographer and Joseph Momoa, a painter. His father Joseph is of partial Native Hawaiian ancestry and his mother Coni is of German, Irish, and Native American descent. He was raised in Norwalk, Iowa, by his mother. He is their only child.
