Ernesto Simán Dada is a lawyer, businessman, and business leader from El Salvador.  He was president of the Salvadoran Association of Industrialists (ASI) from 2010 to 2017. He was director of the National Association of Private Enterprise (ANEP) from 2010 to 2018. In 2018, he briefly ventured into politics and ran for President of El Salvador for the political party Alianza Republicana Nacionalista (ARENA),  But he lost in the internal elections and returned to his business activity. Since May 2020 he has been President of the National Association of Private Enterprise (ANEP), a union that represents 55 business sectors of the economy.

Early Life

Javier Siman was Born on June 14, 1964 in San Salvador, He is the son of María Elena Dada de Simán and Teófilo José Simán Jacir, both Salvadorans of Palestinian origin. His father was president of the Salvadoran Red Cross for more than 35 years.

After completing his studies in Business Administration at Loyola University New Orleans in 1986, he dedicated himself to working in family businesses. He studied Law at Loyola University School of Law obtaining a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and was admitted as a lawyer in October 1990 by the Louisiana State Supreme Court of Justice. He did further law studies at Georgetown Law School and Harvard Law School. He is currently a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA), the American Bar Association (ABA), the Inter-American Bar Association (FIA / IABA), and the International Bar Association (IBA).
