Laura Rojas was an American broadcast journalist until her death on January 28, 2023. She was best known as a presenter for Channel 10.
Laura Rojas was born in El Paso, Texas but grew up in Amarillo where she graduated from Palo Duro High School. She was born to American parents. She was a broadcast journalist for over two years outside Texas.
She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science with a Minor in Spanish from Sam Houston State University. She was a graduate of Amarillo College where she received her Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She is also a graduate of the Panhandle Regional Law Enforcement Academy.

Her focus on journalism was on stories that affect both the Hispanic and English communities. Rojas began her broadcast journalism career as a 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. news anchor for KVDA Channel 60 Telemundo in San Antonio, Texas.
Laura worked as a reporter and host of the Spanish entertainment show, “Tu Onda Internacional,” a program transmitted in the U.S. and Mexico. Before joining the News Channel 10/Telemundo news team.
Laura Rojas reported for Univision KEYU in Amarillo, Texas. Prior to returning to the Amarillo area, Laura produced and presented an educational program, “Inside Northside Video Magazine Show,” for the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio that airs throughout the city and its surrounding areas five times a week.
She was more into the areas of Criminal Justice, education and subjects that affect the community. She also gave her time and support to promote literacy, thru her “Reading Revitalization” (c) 2004 Literacy Program.
Laura Rojas was also proud to serve on the board of Friends of the Library and the American Red Cross Local Chapter. Laura Rojas was a proud mother of two sons and advocates for causes that help improve the lives of children.

The cause of Laura Rojas’s death was not immediately released by the police. According to one police, her death cause will be made public as soon as concrete evidence is attained.
