Miranda Taylor Cosgrove was born on May 14, 1993 (age 29 years) in Los Angeles, California, United States. She is the daughter of Tom Cosgrove, who owns a dry-cleaning business, and Chris Casey, a homemaker. She has stated that she is of Irish, English, and French descent.
